Limbiko Tembo School of African American Culture

The Limbiko Tembo School of African American Culture (LTSAAC) offers a cultural educational program for children ages 3 to 11 years old. Its educational mission is to teach the richness, beauty, life-enhancing lessons and traditions of African American culture through ethical values, history, art, literature, dance, language, films, presentations and field trips. Our cultural instruction encompasses ancient and modern initiatives and experiences of our people as part of the world African community in order to provide a comprehensive understanding of Black Culture.
Also to enhance students’ understanding and appreciation of African American culture, we celebrate cultural holidays such as Kwanzaa, Black History Months I and II, and the holidays of various major historical figures. At the heart of our mission is to provide our children with a supportive and encouraging environment where they can learn and play and acquire at an early age an essential foundation to culturally center themselves and direct their lives toward good and expansive ends.
